| The Bankesters were discovered in the parking lot at a small bluegrass festival back in the summer of 2004. At the time they only knew two songs, but it was enough to get them hired for their first gig.
Six years, hundreds of shows, thousands of miles, eleven states, two CDs, a music video, two vans and one son-in-law later, the family has matured into a fine-tuned band featuring exceptional vocals, with rock-solid instrumental backing. Located in southern Illinois, they’ve toured from New Mexico to North Carolina, and from Alabama to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.
This summer they were invited to play on Nashville’s WSM Radio’s stage during the annual CMA Music Festival and Fan Fair. They’re currently recording their third CD which will be out later this year on Blue Circle Records. |
